Michael Kiene, a visiting fellow in 2007 and 2013 at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, is the Director of Art History Research at the University of Cologne (Germany). He also heads the Forschungsstelle Hittorff laboratory at the Cologne University and City Library. [email protected]
